No sour grapes, thanks. (Unless it turns to wine!) No, just two different style players. Actually, with two Moorhead players on the team, the Sens are my Stanley Cup faves. I'll admit a bias because I know Lee and want him to do well. Also realize that it's no small feat to perform in the big show and it's something earned not given. See Lee was just extended so it looks like he's part of the team's future.

Yes, I was a little surprised by that, although not unhappy. I want Lee to succeed just as much as you do, he just hasn't been able to do it thus far. Looks like Murray's giving him another shot, let's hope he can prove himself.
Sens for the Cup in 2010-2011, as predicted in 2007-08.

Andy Sutton is a career No. 6-7 defenseman. Used to play for the Wild. As far as not trusting Lee, Sutton and Lee are hardly interchangable and would be called on for different roles.  Lee is an offensive, puck-moving defenseman, who can carry the puck and pass to the tape, while Sutton is a tough shot-blocking defenseman whose most common outlet pass is a bank off the glass into the nuetral zone.

Sutton has gotten himself into the best shape of his life and was playing the best hockey of his career. He was the only d-man with size in the roster and was playing a more like a top 4. .

I understand where you're coming from in regards to your team throwing up a white flag but I think it is a real good trade for the Icelanders.
You trade a 35 year old, injury prone player who will be a UFA at season's end for a #2 pick!
The guy had 1 (this one) real good season on the Island.  Contract year....Coincidence??
He knows he this is his last shot at a contract (being that he is 35 and has had injury problems).

I wish my team dumped some of their older players for picks (No...not the immovable contracts of Redden, Roszival, etc)

Again, I understand that as a fan we hate to see our team give up a shot at a playoff round but are the Icelanders really beating Pitt, Wash, or even Ottawa?  And for the record, are the Rangers?  I'd say definitely not and most likely not respectively.

I was considering wearing a Sharks jersey that night in honor of the second round pick that Sutton brought back. He'll probably draft a goalie with it. ;D

ok ... everything just changed for me ... I only just realised that Sutton is earning $3.5 m per season ...

I am sorry ... seriously overpaid. no wonder they traded him.
